The Cricket label was the first subsidiary label of the Pickwick Sales Corp. in 1953.
This is the successor to the Voco label and the Voco, Inc. company.
Similar to it's predecessor it was a children's label. It released 10" 78 RPM (until at least 1959) and 45 RPM and 78 RPM (until 1963 at the latest) 7" records.
In 1961 the company name changed to Pickwick International, Inc.. A second kiddie record label Happy Time Records was launched and used parallel with Cricket. Both were merged into Mr. Pickwick in 1972 until that label was discontinued in 1980.
