Confiteor

CONFITEOR Concert Agency & Publishing House was founded by Mariusz Bogdanowicz in 1995. The goal of all projects implemented by the company is to promote Polish music and Polish artists. Confiteor is a title of manifesto of Young Poland artistic movement by Stanisław Przybyszewski. The manifesto was published in 1899 and became the definition of 19th century’s modernism: „(…) Art represents what is eternal, independent from any changes or circumstantial happenings, uninfluenced by time and space, therefore (…) it is a reflection of one’s soul, manifested in all aspects, no matter if good or bad, ugly or beautiful, (…) it has no purpose, it is an aim by itself, it is an absolute (…)”. The reference of the Confiteor title to the Young Poland’s manifesto relates to the contemporary art, to the malpractice of using it for purposes contradictory to intention.
