The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten) in Ghent dates back to the 18th century and counts as one of the oldest art schools in Belgium.
In 1995 the academy became part of the network of Hogeschool Gent. In 2011 it fusioned with the Koninklijk Muziekconservatorium Gent into a newly created School of Arts.
This label is only to be used for the academy, not the conservatory.
