Nashville-area contract record pressing company incorporated in 1975 and dissolved in 1988; owner James Lenahan also operated Music City Tape Duplicators, Inc. from the same location. Volunteer was a known presser for T.K. Records and was named as a major creditor in T.K.'s 1981 bankruptcy filing. Volunteer pressings are identifiable by:
• "VPS" etch in runouts (for "Volunteer Pressing Services").
• Lps with "Muffin"-style pressing rings with an outer ring diameter of 2.8125" (2 13/16") and an inner ring measuring 1.125" (1 1/8") diameter.
