Compact 6
Настоящее имя: Compact 6
A series of 7", 33 ⅓ RPM Little LP's released by Mercury and its subsidiary labels 61 - 67
Mercury was one of the first labels to put out Little LPs, putting out Little LPs within a month of the Cadence innovation. The Mercury Little LP series started as a mono-only series, with a black label with silver print. These first Little LPs were released in November, 1961 and aimed at the consumer market. Almost a year later, when Seeburg approached Mercury about putting out stereo Little LPs, Mercury revived the series, this time in stereo, starting with the next catalog number from where they left off. They reissued the first mono Little LP in stereo at that time. These stereo Little LPs had blue labels with silver print. Interestingly, although Mercury called these Little LPs "Compact 6" discs, not all of them had six songs.
