Sales / distribution company. E.M.I. Sales & Service Ltd. operated as part of Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI) electronics division headed by E.M.I. Electronics Ltd. Principal activities - Distribution, sale, export of domestic electric appliances, recording and relay equipment, reproducers, tape recorders, recording materials (magnetic tape and lacquer products which were continually being developed by Central Research Laboratories) and many other consumer goods, which were manufactured at the Hayes factory complex. Acetate pressings under the Emidisc (3) imprint (trademark) which were produced by sister company E.M.I. Tape Limited, were widely used as a promotional industry tool for parent companies products.
