The Barne Society

The Barne Society has been with us since 2010 but it’s not until now that this independent record label has found it’s real identity. Originally started by Marco Rea & Stuart Kidd in the outskirts of Glasgow in a barn with farming surroundings, the setting might seem tranquil but it’s the buzz & creativity inside that sets the label apart. Three years on from the debut release of The Wellgreen album, the added input of Norrie McCulloch & Blair McLaughlan has now given the label the momentum to showcase the creativity that the collective harvest.
