Living Country Blues USA

Living Country Blues USA is a series of albums on L+R Records. The recordings of acoustic blues artists were collected by german blues enthusiasts Siegfried A. Christmann and Axel Küstner on a reel-to-reel tape recorder on an extended field trip through the south of the USA in the fall of 1980 in the form of field recordings. Axel Küstner's photographs are featured heavily in the artwork of all volumes. Zweitausendeins through license agreement released Vol.1 to Vol.10 in a box under the L+R label in 1982 before Vol. 11 and Vol. 12 of the original series were first released. Edigsa through license agreement released at least Vol.1 to Vol.6 under the L+R label in Spain in 1982. Bellaphon re-released Vol.1 to Vol.12 under the L+R label on CD in the 2000s.
