Parnassus Records (3)

Parnassus Records was founded in 1969 by [a1827229] to publish reissues of classical recordings on LPs. Until September 2008, the label's main activity was mail order sales of classical recordings. Their publishing arm was re-activated in 1996, this time focusing on compact discs. The Parnassus program includes performances by Sviatoslav Richter – Colorado Quartet – Arthur Grumiaux – [a859780] – Eugene Drucker (of the Emerson String Quartet) – [a2606239] – [a3541452] and many others. In 2012 Parnassus published their first DVD: Sviatoslav Richter Plays Beethoven and Chopin, followed in 2014 with a Janos Starker Cello Recital.
