9th Ward Pickin' Parlor

Also credited as "Ninth Ward Pickin' Parlor" and "9th Ward Pickin' Parlour" The 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor is the recording studio of producer/engineer Mike West (2). Mike produces songwriters, string bands, jazz musicians, pop groups and punk rockers from around the world. The Pickin’ Parlor began as a studio in a shot-gun house in the notorious Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. After hurricane Katrina washed away the recording studio and most of the neighborhood in 2005, Mike relocated to Lawrence, Kansas. Now in a barn-style cottage, the 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor continues to produce great recordings for established and developing artists.
