A/K/A American Studio and American Recording. Nashville studio owned by Chips Moman after the closure of American Sound Studio, Memphis, TN and American Sound Studio, Atlanta, GA. Kenny Rogers, B.J. Thomas and Waylon Jennings were regulars here; United Artists Nashville label head Larry Butler bought the studio in the late 1970s, transforming it into the office of Larry Butler Productions.
