Company founded by Mark Waldrep in 1989 in Chatsworth, California. The Sonic Solutions based studio handled editing and mastering of a wide variety of projects for New Albion Records, Cambria Records, Newport Classics and other boutique labels. In the early 1990's, the company expanded and began doing workfor Warner New Media on a line of CD-ROM/CD-Audio project called "Audio Notes", CBS Records, Zomba/Jive, BMG, Sanctuary and others.
The company was renamed AIX Studios after a move to North Hollywood and an expansion of services, which included batch sound file processing, voice over recording, books on tape, mastering, sound restoration and sound design for games.
