St. GIGA
Настоящее имя: St. GIGA
Label associated with the Japanese St.GIGA satellite radio station founded in 1990 by WOWOW Inc.. Headed by musical content director Hiroshi Yokoi (横井宏), who had previously led the pop-oriented J-Wave FM (J-Wave Music Inc.), St.GIGA was focused primarily on New Age ambient music and natural field recordings (nature music and biomusic). This began to change during 1995-2000 when St.GIGA partnered with Nintendo to broadcast video game content for Nintendo's Satellaview video game system, and the station turned increasingly to Japanese pop thereafter. St.GIGA was re-named Club COSMO (under Wire-Bee) in 2003 and filed for bankruptcy in 2007. Majority shareholders, WINJ took the radio station off the air the same year.
