Paredon
Настоящее имя: Paredon
Founded in 1969 by Barbara Dane and Irwin Silber, Paredon Records was part of a wave of cultural expression that accompanied the worldwide struggle for economic, racial, and social justice and national liberation of the mid-twentieth century. They released a total of fifty titles, including works of song, poetry, and oratory.
Dane and Silber donated Paredon Records to the Smithsonian Institution in 1991 to insure the availability of this material to posterity. The releases form a sub-collection of the Smithsonian's Ralph Rinzler Folklife Archives and Collections.
As part of the mission of the Rinzler Archives, all Paredon titles are kept in print in perpetuity by, and are available for purchase directly from, Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.
