German music publisher and agency for stage and orchestral works, began as a subsidiary company of the Oscar Brandstetter firm. This company was founded in 1934 in Leipzig to publish the Bruckner Complete Critical Edition and then was renamed Bruckner-Verlag Leipzig in 1944. After World War II, the head office initially moved to Wiesbaden [Bruckner-Verlag, Wiesbaden] until Managing Director Fritz Oeser chose Kassel as its permanent home in 1955. Since then, the publishing house has belonged to the Bärenreiter-Verlag Group under the name of Alkor-Edition. Its Managing Director is Barbara Scheuch-Vötterle, daughter of the founder of Bärenreiter, Karl Vötterle.
