Lumby Productions LTD.
Настоящее имя: Lumby Productions LTD.
Lumby Productions was founded by John Lumby Sr. and Helen Lumby as a part-time recording operation on September 15, 1961. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, the couple's business focused on the production and marketing of sound recordings. It grew into a full time operation in 1965 and expanded to include custom recording services, photography, and motion picture production.
The company's film component included customers such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and a number of Saskatchewan provincial government departments and crown corporations. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Lumby Productions handled most of the film and news production for CBC Saskatchewan. In time, the company's scope of work grew into a multimedia production operation. An office was opened in Regina, Saskatchewan, and operated from 1970 to 1974. Lumby Productions' clients were provided with recording and record pressing services, photography, radio jingles, television commercials, print advertising, public relations work, film production and processing, animation, and music soundtracks.
During the early 1980s, the company's activities were phased out and the business wound down. Over 1985 and 1986, its assets were transferred to Size Small Productions Inc., a relatively new company formed by the Lumbys. In 1988, Lumby Productions Ltd. was fully dissolved.
