Настоящее имя: RTV Ljubljana
RTV Ljubljana (Radio Televizija Ljubljana) was a public media organization from SFR Yugoslavia, based in Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia. Its music production branch and a record label was founded on 28 November 1970 as Kasetna produkcija RTV Ljubljana, releasing only cassettes in the first few years. The first cassettes, [m1709216] and Ribniška, were released in December 1970. The label was established and managed by people associated with Radio Ljubljana, Jure Robežnik and Dušan Velkaverh. Producers and editors were: Tomaž Tozon for folk and choral music, Teodor Korban for classical music and Ivo Umek for pop and rock.
Following vinyl production, it was renamed Produkcija kaset in plošč RTV Ljubljana in 1974. Since the label did not own vinyl pressing plants, they used pressing services of other Yugoslav recording companies, Jugoton, PGP RTB, Helidon and Diskos. By the end of 1970s it became the third largest record label in Yugoslavia, releasing both domestic (Slovene and other Yugoslav) artists and international titles through rich licencing catalogue. In 1980, the label became ZKP RTVL (Založba kaset in plošč RTV Ljubljana).
