MetaWaveClassix

MetaWaveClassix is one of the three sublabels by the parent label: MetaWaveMusic. MetaWaveClassix is meant to be a label for 'classic' electronic music releases. We mainly focus on rereleases of minimal electronic music and electronic avantgarde from late 1970s to early 1980s. The material normally hasn't been released yet on CD and therefore is in this format exclusive to our label. Some of the artists also have unreleased material to add to the known music. If material is completely unreleased, we intend to press limited collector's editions on vinyl as well. Minimal electronic music and electronic avantgarde from the era, we are specialising in, can be considered a major influence for modern electronic music and even techno music. Many stylistic ideas and musical patterns which have been used then, reoccur in modern music. Our label catalogue is intended to become something like an archive of early technological music, for electronic music enthusiasts and those who are interested in the roots of modern music alike.
