Vita

L'Orchestre African Fiesta was created in 1963 by Tabu Ley Rochereau and Dr. Nico Kassanda : they decided to launch their own label named Vita. The tension between Rochereau and Nico led to a split in 1965, with Rochereau, renaming the band " L'Orchestre African Fiesta National Le Peuple " then Orchestre Afrisa L'International, and making a new label named Ed. Flash (complete name is Éditions Flash - Rochereau). Meanwhile, Dr. Nico decided to plays under the moniker L'Orchestre African Fiesta Sukisa through his own Sukisa label.
