EMI Comedy Classics

British comedy series used by the EMI label launched in 1990 and issuing compilations from EMI’s extensive archive. Most releases were on the double cassette format that was the dominant format for spoken word titles at the time, no doubt popularised by the BBC Radio Collection launched by the BBC in 1988. Some double CDs of the more popular titles were also issued.
