Cheiron
Настоящее имя: Cheiron
Cheiron was a Swedish label run by Dag Volle, Max Martin and Tom Talomaa, located in Stockholm, Sweden. It traces its roots back to the deejay collective SweMix, which was split up in 1991. The DJ service, Remixed Records, was sold to Giovanni Sconfienza and the rest of the company was soon after split up again. The production company, SweMix Productions, remained independent, while the record label and publisher, known as SweMix Records and Publishing, was sold to BMG in early 1993 and reformed to become Cheiron Productions under the leadership of Volle and Talomaa.
Dag Volle was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 1997 and passed away less than a year later. Despite huge international success, Cheiron closed its doors in 2000, mostly due to the passing of Dag Volle. Former Cheiron members Kristian Lundin, Jacob Schulze and Andreas Carlsson later launched a new company called The Location Studios, located in the same building. A Side Productions and Maratone Studios were also founded by former Cheiron members, both located elsewhere in Stockholm.
