3LO Studios

Studios of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's radio station 3LO (now known as 774 ABC Melbourne), broadcasting from Melbourne, Victoria. Located at ABC Southbank. 774 3LO first went to air on 13 October 1924, and was originally owned by the Broadcasting Company of Australia. In 1928, the Sydney-based Australian Broadcasting Company took over the station, and in 1932, the Australian Broadcasting Commission (forerunner of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation) was established and took control of the station. It was located at Broadcast House, Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, until it moved to ABC Southbank in 1996. 3LO was re-branded to 774 ABC Melbourne in 2000.
