Sonnenkreuz

Sonnenkreuz is a label and mail-order owned by Frank Krämer, founder of Halgadom. Apart from the Halgadom recordings, Sonnenkreuz has released albums by the projects In Acht & Bann and Frostkrieg. The mail-order catalogue offers a wide variety of items, including jewellery, books and DVDs. The former label logo (a sun-cross: translation “Sonnenkreuz”) caused a stir long after it had been changed/updated, because a prosecutor mistook it for a Celtic-cross (the latter being banned in Germany). The releases bearing the old version of the logo may be sold legally if the offending picture is blackened or cut out. The label has issued a statement condemning the prosecutor’s actions and announced that there won’t be any reprints of the old releases and that the remaining CDs will be sold with censored artwork.
