It began as a partnership between Rubber Records (4) / Black Crow Records manager Geoff Heslop, Scottish singer and songwriter Dick Gaughan, and the two partners in Celtic Music records, Dave Bulmer and Neil Sharpley. In the years between 1986 and 1995 it was the main studio in the county, recording many albums for Black Crow Records, Acoustic Radio, Delta Records (8), Rede, as well as for other labels.
Built and designed by Heslop and Gaughan, the main engineer was Mickey Sweeney and a pool of musicians including Rod Clements, Chuck Fleming, Paul Flush, Paul Smith (7), Dire Straits' keyboards player Alan Clark, and others.
