British production company Name variation: - The Smoothside Organization Smoothside was created by Barbara Jeffries, whose career in the recording industry began back in the days when Virgin only sold music. In 1987, Barbara began Smoothside with a roster of four producer/engineers whilst still at Virgin, deciding to concentrate solely on artist management following Virgin's takeover by EMI. Smoothside's roster includes producers, writers, programmers engineers and arrangers, whose enviable talents over the years have contributed to in excess of 30 platinum albums, several Grammy nominations and numerous No. 1 singles and albums.
