CBS Records International

CBS Records International was the international releasing division of Columbia Records, active from 1962 until 1990. The division was founded by Columbia to release its products outside the United States and Canada while avoiding confusion with EMI's Columbia Graphophone Company, which operated in every market except North America, Spain and Japan. Columbia's then-owner CBS later sold this division to Sony Corporation, and it was shut down in 1991 after thirty years of operations.
