Europa Magnetics Corporation Limited

Europa Magnetics Corporation Limited (located in Cramlington, Northumberland, UK) was the European headquarters of CMC Magnetics Corporation, based in Taiwan. The company was established in 1993 as a floppy disk manufacturer before beginning CD-ROM manufacturing in the late 1990s. In 2003, Europa invested £20 million in a new manufacturing plant for optical disc glass mastering and replication. The manufacturing plant was closed in 2006, after which EMC continued as a distribution centre for CMC.
