Alster Studios

Full service sound studio in Hamburg-Ohlstedt (Germany). Founded in 1946 by Wilhelm Breckwoldt as a film synchronization studio (also see Alster-Atelier); in 1971 a fourth studio for music production opened. In 1980 the studio was sold to porn producer Alan Vydra who renovated the studio to include Dolby stereo recording. In 1991 the studio was again taken over by movie producer Bernd Gürtler. The studio is still in use for synchronization by the Gürtler company.
