Ecco Records (2)

Short lived danish 1960's record label releasing mainly beat/ garage rock (pigtråd). Ecco Records was started by Moritz Solovej and used for releasing classical music in the 1950's (in ex EST 101). Sonet bought the label and in the beginning of 1966 Erik Haaest bought the label from Sonet and the "new" labels first single was released as EST 104 in march 1966. Ecco was distributed by Sonet and a few Sonet releases in 1966 had both Sonet and Ecco labels (in ex T 8247). Ecco Records as so only existed in 1966 (with one final release dated as 1967). The label was co-owned by Erik Haaest and Leif Jul of Corona Film A/S. Ecco was owned before and after by Sonet. After the label went bankrupt late 1966 (together with Corona Film) the ECCO name was used by Sonet in the 1970's as a budget label with a new logo.
