Waterhole Records

Waterhole Records was an independent Rockabilly label from Germany which was founded in 1993 and existed until 1997. It was the German sole distributor for the Rock-A-Billy Record Co. (Denver, Colorado, USA) for some years. There were only two 7" releases (W-101 and W-102) on the Waterhole label but some unreleased material appeared on a compilation 12" LP on Crazy Love Records (CLLP6430) named "Waterhole Rock-A-Billy" with some additional tracks from the Crazy Love label. The first 7" EP by Mack Stevens (1995) had the catalogue no. W-102 and the second release by Willie Lewis & Eddie Valdez (which originally was thought to be the first release) had the catalogue number W-101 and due to several reasons was released as late as in early 1997. W-101 was pressed in red vinyl (500 copies) and black vinyl (500 copies as well) in the USA via the Rock-A-Billy Record Co. with the help of Willie Lewis. There was no picture sleeve. W-102 was pressed in Germany (525 copies in black vinyl and 108 copies in green vinyl). The black vinyl version had xerox copied picture covers in yellow or in white. The green vinyl version had xerox copies picture covers in green.
