Sydney Showground

Home of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and its annual Royal Easter Show. It has been located at Homebush Bay in Sydney since 1998. The Showground precinct includes a number of venues, including the Southee Complex and the Sydney Showground Stadium (pictured). The Showground was located at Moore Park from 1882 to 1998. As part of the redevelopment of land at Homebush for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the establishment of Sydney Olympic Park and its venues (including Allphones Arena and Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre), the Showground moved there in 1998. The land formerly occupied by the Showground at Moore Park was redeveloped as an entertainment precinct, now partly occupied by Fox Studios Australia and Trackdown Scoring Stage aka Simon Leadley Scoring Stage.
