Eva-Tone Soundsheets is a US manufacturer of flexi discs (soundsheets).
Originally established as Eva-Tone Corp. in 1962 in Deerfield, Illinois.
The company relocated to Clearwater, Florida in 1979 and was renamed Eva-Tone Soundsheets.
Richard "Dick" Evans developed and patented the process for making flexi disc records in 1962.
All flexi disc records were made by Eva-Tone or one of their licencees (such as Lyntone in the U.K.).
Due to low demand, Eva-Tone stopped making soundsheets in 2000.
Established on 21 March 1979 in Florida as Eva-Tone Sound Sheets, Inc.
Changed name to Eva-Tone Soundsheets, Inc. on 23 April 1979.
Changed name to Eva-Tone, Inc. on 07 July 1998.
Bankruptcy November 2008.
The origins of this company date back to 1925 when established in Deerfield, Illinois as American Evatype, Corp., manufacturing equipment for rubber stamps and rubber plates. In 1962, Dick Evans developed the sound sheet process and established Eva-Tone Corp.
