Record company behind the label World Artists (4). Short form for World Artists Records, Inc.. Previously known as World Record Inc.. Formed in 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA, by Lennie Martin and Lou Guarino, who had previously owned and operated Calico and Robbee Records. The company ceased operations in October 1965.
