Pop & Blues Festival

Originally a three day event at the Grugahalle in Essen (9-11 October 1969). It was such a huge success that it was followed up by a three day international festival held at the Ernst-Merck Halle in Hamburg (March 1970), and a further two international festivals in Essen (25-26 April 1970 and 22-25 October 1970).
