Track Record

Independent label established in 1967 by The Who's managers, Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp under the wing of Polydor and was originally the non-North American home of Jimi Hendrix and The Who. (See also BackTrack Series). Label Code : LC 0460 Track ceased trading in the late 1970s and Lambert died shortly afterwards. Stamp passed the rights to the name to Ian Grant (former manager of The Stranglers, The Cult and Big Country) in 1999, who relaunched the label and uses the "Track Record" name and logo. This new company does not hold the rights to the back catalogue.
