HMR Productions

A field recording and custom pressing service, based in Scotch plains, New Jersey, USA, owned and operated by Harry M. Randel and founded in the early 1960's. Originally run as a franchise for Century Custom Recording Service, with initial records using the Century Records (4) catalog numbering system. By 1965 HMR Productions then became more independent and started issuing records - first with the "RC-" prefix, then later with the "HMR-" prefix. HMR Productions ceased operation in the early 1980's when the popularity of such self-released titles began to wane.
