Kiski
Настоящее имя: Kiski
The "Kiski Recording Company" originally started around the year 1960, and the original studio was located in the basement of a house out near Kiski Area High School. For a short time it was known as "A.R.M. Records", but that name only lasted a short while, due to legal complications that "claimed" a company in Georgia had that name first. The two owners, who didn't feel like going into a legal battle over the initials of their names, decided to simply call it "Kiski" after the area the studio(s) were located in. The original studio was out by the high school for a few releases, then it moved to the top of the hill near the Freeport Bridge - "Freeport PA" appeared on one 45 and also an album . In late 1963, it moved to North Apollo, PA and opened in January of 1964. The new location in North Apollo served as a music shop as well as a recording service. Kiski Recording did anything from Gospel to Garage, Polkas to Doo Wop and also Country. Three albums of choir music as performed by Kiski High School exist, as well as an album by The Mellowmen, which was a Jazz stage band from Springdale High School. Kiski Recording lasted until 1966 and was basically forgotten through the passing of time, except by a few people that wish to keep the memory of the old studio alive.
