Expanding Electronic Diversity
Настоящее имя: Expanding Electronic Diversity
Independent label started by David Tagg & David Shichman in 2004, specializing in electronic, ambient and experimental releases. EED functioned as a prosperous netlabel (with occasional physical releases) until 2007, when all releases were hard-copy only. In the same year, David Shichman left the label and EED continued on with a new partnership between Tagg and musician Brian Grainger (Milieu). Maintaining the original focus of EED's concept, the label issued a number of hand-assembled limited edition albums (featuring the first examples of David Tagg's artful designs and packaging) until closing its doors in Summer of 2009. SEAS, a collaboration between Tagg & Grainger, marked the last EED release (and the label's only vinyl pressing) while sister labels INSTALL and Second Sun Recordings (created by Tagg & Grainger) continue to release music today.
