Fame Studios, Memphis

Recording studios located in Memphis, TN. They were built in January 1970 by Rick Hall as an exact replica of the Fame Recording Studios based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. They were managed by Rick and Sonny Limbo who joined him in Alabama in 1968. The studio utilised its own rhythm section and made use of The Memphis Horns and The Memphis Strings with the support of the arranger Charles Chalmers.
