Cryogenesis

Sydney-based label active in late 1990s as a side project of the weekly club night Frigid. Released small run CDs and co-released the Freaky Loops compilations with 2SER FM. “Cryogenesis Recordings began in early 1998. Funded by profits from the sucess of Frigid, Cryogenesis Recordings was set up to help Sydney-based artists that we were increasingly coming in to contact with through Frigid, 2SER and Freaky Loops, fund their releases. Cryogenesis also co-releases the Freaky Loops compilations in conjunction with 2SER. Freaky Loops 2 (1999) picked up Best Dance Music Compilation in the Australian Dance Music Awards.”
