AME Inc

Post-production video company serving Hollywood and the music industry. One of the key companies involved in the transfer of media from film to videotape. AME Inc was founded in 1980 by Andrew McIntyre. Following a leveraged buyout of the company in 1989 for $108.5-million McIntyre left the company. McIntyre attempted to buy the company back in 1991 for $25 million but his bid was unsuccessful. The company filed for Chapter 11 protection from bankruptcy in July 1992 and existed under Chapter 11 protection until the company was sold to McIntyre under bankruptcy proceedings in April 1993 for $18 million, it was then merged with his new post-production company All Post Inc.
