ATP Recordings
Настоящее имя: ATP Recordings
Label associated with the "All Tomorrow's Parties" Music Festivals, held in the UK, New York City and Los Angeles.
ATP (the acronym of All Tomorrow's Parties) was started in 1999 by London concert promoters Barry Hogan and Helen Cottage of Foundation. Bored with corporate festivals that were forced down their throats they decided to design a unique event that would be something they personally would want to attend. The idea was to invite a curator (be that a musician, artist, or writer) to choose a selection of bands/performers that reflected their record collection, or people that they felt influenced by or connected to. Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth perfectly described the ATP Festival as 'the ultimate mixtape'.
Festival line-ups have included artists such as Autechre, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Múm, Nobukazu Takemura, Kid606, Matmos, Prefuse 73, Public Enemy, Kool Keith, Sun Ra Arkestra, Television, Lambchop, Bonnie Prince Billy, Smog, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Rós, Tortoise, The Magic Band, Matt Groening, Sonic Youth plus many more.
