Oldies But Goodies

For the single series, see Oldies But Goodies Single Series A ground-breaking series of releases created by Art Laboe, based on his catchphrase "Oldies But Goodies" when broadcasting as a DJ from Scrivner's Drive-In Restaurants, where the many requests for 'oldies' on his "Art Laboe Show" led him to create the phrase. Having then founded Original Sound he employed the idea in compiling multi-label artists releases as an LP. His first remained in Billboard Magazine's Top-100 LP Chart for over 3 years. Original's sound engineer Paul Buff was much a force in the output and quality of the works.
