Jay's Longhorn Bar, also known simply as "The Longhorn," was a popular rock club in Minneapolis that operated during the late 1970s to the early 1980s. Originally a jazz club and steakhouse, the Longhorn changed ownership a few times before taking on its legendary status as a rock club. The Longhorn was known as the center of the Minneapolis punk scene with groups like Hüsker Dü, the Suicide Commandos and The Replacements playing there on almost a weekly basis. It was also a regular stop for national punk and alternative groups on tour.
