Historical Anthology Of Music
Настоящее имя: Historical Anthology Of Music
Series from The Bach Guild dedicated to the systematic exploration of masterworks of music ranging from the Middle Ages to the Classic Period.
This serie is for LP's, for CD's see: Historical Anthology
The musicological classifications were planned by Martin Bernstein, Professor Emeritus of Music, Graduate School of Arts and Science, New York University. In addition to being classified by period and category, the recordings are further divided into sub-categories to identify the type of music these include. A special category ("Anthologies") crosses periods and national boundaries to illustrate the development of forms and composition styles for various instruments such as the trumpet, recorder, flute, oboe, guitar, etc. Many of the recordings were made with state-of-the-art electronic equipment with the aim of the most realistic stereophonic sound. Some recordings had been previously issued, but were re-cut from the original master tapes, among these were some monophonic recordings which were reissued with no attempt at giving them a pseudo-stereophonic quality (stereo re-channeling).
