Kingside

Swedish venue for live music and dancing, located at Kungsholmsgatan 153 (the street was renamed in 1969 to S:t Göransgatan 153) in Stockholm. The club opened Saturday Oct. 4, 1958 by entrepreneur Hasse Wallman (who was later to establish "Wallmans Salonger"), and was in business until the end of March 1966. In 1962-63, the club held the annual "Pop-Topp-Band" contest, where visitors could vote for different acts. Two EP:s were released with the contestants: (Rösta På) Kingsides Topp 4 Kingsides Pop-Topp-Band 29/1-1963 The club was namedropped in the song Annabenox on Caviar Pizza. In the year 2004, people from DHS Studios started Kingside Studios on these premises.
