Victor Creative Media Co. Ltd. (ビクタークリエイティブメディア株式会社) was established in 2007 as a spin-off from Victor Company of Japan. Prior to 2007, it was JVC's Rinkan factory, manufacturing records, CDs, and DVDs. Timeline: 2007: SHM-CD jointly developed with Universal Music LLC. 2008: Business alliance with Imagica Media, Inc. . 2009: Business alliance with Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. , Started Blu-ray production. 2014: Company name changed to JVC Kenwood Creative Media Co. Ltd. (株式会社JVCケンウッド・クリエイティブメディア). 2016: The head office and plant were relocated to Yokosuka, and since 2015 the company has announced the sale of real estate, after which the plant is no longer there.
