AuraQuake Records

AuraQuake is a psy-trance label, based in San Francisco and Portugal. It's home to Penta, a trance project of Nikita Tselovalnikov, founder and producer of the label. Catia Leitao, also a founder, is dealing with the management side of the operation, as well as bookings for Penta. The idea for the name and direction of the label was born on December 12, 2004, during Penta's tour of Brazil. The name AuraQuake suggests the mind state evoked by the label's music. The "corporate" colors come from two Brazilian fruits: acai and acerola, very popular with the label's founders. According to the label, there is no preference to any sub-styles of psy-trance as long as the music is interesting and psychedelic.
