Studio PSM
Настоящее имя: Studio PSM
Studio PSM and Studio PSM-16 were two recording studios located in the same building on Saint-Pierre Street in Québec City.
Also appears as:
• Studio P.S.M. / P.S.M. Studios / P.S.M. Studio / PSM Studios / PSM Studio
• Studio P.S.M.-16 / Studio P.S.M. 16 / Studio PSM 16
• Studio PSM-24
The studio was first opened by Jean-Marc Payer under the name Studio PSM on Saint-Jean Street inside the bar La Cour in the mid-1970's. At the time, it was a typical 8-track studio of the era. After growing considerably in business and popularity, the studio relocated to the first floor of 115 Saint-Pierre Street in the autumn of 1979.
By 1980, the main studio had grown to 24-tracks and the owners invested in 16-track recording equipment which they set-up as a second studio on the second floor of the same building (with the same address) and named it Studio PSM-16. In 1980, the owners of the recording studio also formed a record label Les Disques L'enclume, which existed until the mid-1980's. The studio appears to have closed down in the 1990's.
