The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) is an American music school, established in 1917 and located in San Francisco, California.
It was founded in 1917 by Ada Clement and Lillian Hodghead as the Ada Clement Piano School. Initially located at Lillian's parents' home on Sacramento Street, the school opened with three pianos, four studios, and 40 students. The institution quickly expanded and changed its name to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1923.
